From its more somber beginnings in the 90’s Argentina’s Marcha del Orgullo (Pride Parade) has grown into a massive event that blends political activism with partying in a way only these crazy, gorgeous Porteños could.
Each year the pride parade takes place in November. The pre-parade party kicks off at 2pm in Plz de Mayo with a big party as participants arrive in costume for photos ops with stars and LGBT acivists. The feria (open market) is your one stop shop for the kind of souvenirs that would horrify your mother. Also great spot to pick up some rainbow themed kitsch (if that’s your thing).
More than 100,000 people attend the event annually. The parade itself begins at 6pm from the plaza and makes its way up the 11 blocks of Av de May to the Plz Congreso.
